Quality as a Shared Responsibility
Quality assurance is not the responsibility of the Directorate alone. Quality is a shared responsibility involving every member of the University community and our external stakeholders. We therefore encourage all members of the University community—Council, management, staff, students, and partners—to actively participate in identifying areas for improvement, addressing gaps, strengthening good practices, and promoting excellence in everything we do. Our collective responsibility is to ensure that Uganda Pentecostal University consistently delivers quality, relevant, accessible, and transformative education and services.
Commitment to Standards and Compliance
In fulfilling its mandate, the Quality Assurance Directorate is guided by the requirements and obligations established under the National Council for Higher Education quality assurance framework, the National Development Plan IV, Uganda Vision 2040, applicable national policy frameworks, and the University’s approved policies, regulations, guidelines, and quality standards. The Directorate is committed to promoting evidence-based assessment, transparency, accountability, compliance, effectiveness, and continuous improvement across all areas of University operations.
Our Vision for Quality Assurance
The University leadership and management are committed to building and sustaining a strong culture of quality. The Directorate therefore envisages the establishment and strengthening of Quality Assurance Committees at faculty level, enhanced institutional quality assurance systems, and increased engagement with national, regional, and international quality assurance bodies and professional organizations. We further seek to promote participation in relevant conferences, seminars, professional forums, and think tanks that contribute to the advancement of quality standards in university education and training.
Through these initiatives, we aim to develop stronger, coordinated, evidence-based, and sustainable quality assurance mechanisms that contribute to improved institutional performance and the continued growth and development of Uganda Pentecostal University.
